Slots Really Do Pay Off at BitStarz and Vegas Casinos

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

For any player, seeing a nice return on their investment after playing some Bitcoin slots is enough to make their day. But more often than not, these entertaining online casino games can produce something more than a few mBTC over your budget to give you a proper reward for choosing the right game. Such is the case with the next two slots, which have and are about to give you some good reasons to try them out.

Tree of Fortune Pays Aussie Player $45,876 at BitStarz

BitStarz Bitcoin Casino is a place where many slot players have had lucky wins, one of the more memorable being the $180K jackpot that was hit last November. The latest addition to the list of big jackpot winners at the casino was added a few days ago when a player from Australia scooped a $48,876 payout on iSoftBet’s Tree of Fortune.

The lucky punter was not identified by the casino but details of his win were proudly shared on BitStarz’ blog. As the casino explains, the player hit the jackpot prize after a single spin on the Tree of Fortune, proving that BitStarz’ slogan – “Dream Big. Win Bigger” – isn’t just a marketing ploy. And although the win isn’t as monumental as some land-based slot jackpots are, it nevertheless is a win that is not to be overlooked.

The Tree of Fortune is one of many Asian-themed slots and it features 5-reels and 243-ways-to-win. Armed with interesting extras like Wilds, Free Spins, and the option to re-spin each individual reel on your own, this slot offers players plenty of ways to turn their bets into some nice profits. And apart from this particular machine, the casino also has around 1,000 other games to offer, including a variety of iSoftBet slots which are popular with Aussie players. To see the full extent of the game collection, make sure that you check out BitStarz Casino.

Sugar Pop 2 to Pay Out €2,000 in Prizes at Vegas Casino

Another slot that will bring solid prizes to lucky slot players this month is BetSoft’s Sugar Pop 2, which was selected for a special tournament at Vegas Casino. A sequel to the original Sugar Pop, the second installment in the slot machine series likewise comes with the Level Up feature that lets you progress through the game to unlock new special symbols on your reels.

The Sugar Pop 2 also comes pre-loaded with a host of extras like exploding bombs that give away cash prizes, 5 different wilds, 8 bonus symbols to unlock, as well as exploding cluster reels and double-or-nothing games. To honor this special Bitcoin slot, Vegas Casino is launching a new tournament that will hand out €2,000 in prizes and last between the 26th of April and May 2nd. The top 3 players get prizes of €1,000, €350, and €150, while 7 more players will get either €100 or €50 prizes, depending on the ranking.

To enter this exciting tournament, you will need to be a member of the casino and wager €1 to get 1 point. The more points you gather, the closer you can come to winning the main prize. If you want to see the game in action before the tournament unrolls, head down to Vegas Casino and find the slots menu.

Bitcoin Gambling in Malta to be Tested Soon

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) – Malta’s gambling regulator – is finishing preparations to launch its announced sandbox test of blockchain technology. The MGA, which is one of the biggest online casino licensing bodies in the world, first revealed plans to test blockchain implementation in last October when it gave few details of the scope of the testing process. But now, new information has emerged as to what the regulator will be probing and how will MGA’s online gambling licensees be allowed to implement cryptocurrencies into their platforms.

A 6-Month Probe Into Cryptocurrency and Token Gambling

As detailed by the MGA, the new test will begin in the second quarter of this year and span for 6 months – a period which may be prolonged or shortened if needed. Prior to the launch of the sandbox test, concerned stakeholders from the industry are invited by the MGA to consult over the test parameters and submit their opinions by the end of April.

Reportedly, apart from putting already existing cryptocurrencies at the centre of its test, the MGA will also be reviewing tokens generated by operators on an individual basis. However, any token issued by an operator will be exempt from the currency exchange rule the MGA is looking to enforce, which forbids the exchange of digital currencies to fiat money and vice versa.

By the time the probing period ends, the Malta Gaming Authority will be far behind the UK Gambling Commission which recognized Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies back in 2016. Nevertheless, as one of the two leading online licensing authorities on a global scale, MGA’s implementation of blockchain and cryptocurrencies will likely lead to a wider expansion of Bitcoin online casinos.

Wallet Transfers, Deposit Limits, and Smart Contracts Part of Test

According to the details provided by the regulator, should licensees be allowed to introduce cryptocurrencies they will have to verify the ownership of the cryptocurrency wallet address of each individual user. Generally, all players will be allowed to use only a single wallet for each cryptocurrency they want to use and those wallets will need to be verified with a single account. Any withdrawals and transfers to other wallets will be prohibited, unless an exception needs to be made in rare cases.

Since cryptocurrencies can be considerably volatile, prospective operators will be asked to set up different player-determined wagering-, loss-, and deposit limits than the limits applied to regular (fiat) currencies. During the test, the MGA will be putting a cap on cryptocurrency wagering and deposits to a sum of €1,000 per month in any cryptocurrency equivalent. To help them determine whether a player has breached the maximum deposit amount it times of price volatility, operators will also be provided with diagrams.

Per the new information, gamblers will not be permitted to exchange fiat money for cryptocurrencies and vice versa within an operator’s platform. They will thus have to deposit, wager, and withdraw in a single currency or cryptocurrency. The sandbox test will also probe the use of smart contracts, given that all other guidelines regarding wallet verifications and limits are respected and there are mechanisms to void a smart contract should a flaw in the new technology be found.

Included in the test will be games that are partially or completely hosted on a blockchain but also games hosted on casino servers that use blockchain technology to provide transparency and proof of fairness. And, naturally, all AML (Anti-Money Laundering) provisions will need to be respected during the test.

Bitcoin Casinos in Las Vegas Might Become a Reality

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

Despite Bitcoin being around for nearly a decade and finding great use as a payment method in online casinos, the casino capital of the world – Nevada’s Sin City – has been slower to adopt the cryptocurrency. Due to the lack of regulation from the Nevada Gaming Control Board and the Department of Taxation, major resorts in Las Vegas aren’t able to implement Bitcoin in their casino cashiers. However, this doesn’t mean that Bitcoin isn’t finding its way into the Las Vegas gambling scene as small-time casinos and entertainment venues of the Strip begin to adopt it.

The First Bitcoin Casino in Las Vegas to Accept BTC

One of the first casinos in Vegas to give hope to all Bitcoin gamblers is the D Las Vegas – a casino hotel in downtown Las Vegas located near the South LV Boulevard in the vicinity of the Golden Nugget Casino. Although a smaller resort with “only” 629 rooms, the D Las Vegas nevertheless can play a big role in cryptocurrency adoption.

The D Las Vegas has a two-floor casino that offers some of the best video poker machines in town and its owner – Derek Stevens – was one of the first casino owners to become a Bitcoin believer. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Stevens first started hearing about Bitcoin four years ago from employees in the tech industry who mingled at bar of his casino.

After investigating Bitcoin, the casino owner then decided to turn the privately-owned small hotel/casino into one of the first entertainment venues in Vegas that accept the coin. Currently, the casino allows visitors to pay for their hotel accommodation, meals, and gift shop gifts with Bitcoin, but Stevens has also installed an ATM on the gaming floor that allows gamblers to swap their Bitcoins for dollars to buy chips at the cashier.

Bitcoin Boosts Profits but It Stays in Shops and Venues

According to Stevens, the decision to install an ATM and start taking Bitcoin didn’t attract the type of tech-industry workers that introduced him to Bitcoin. Instead, what the small venue saw was an increase in international travelers who preferred to use the cryptocurrency for its cross-border practicality and speed.

Reportedly, with Bitcoin’s price increases, the D Las Vegas also saw plenty of Bitcoin users spending on more expensive meals and wine at its restaurant, thus adding a “meaningful” boost to the revenue of the casino. However, for the time being, he doesn’t plan on increasing his ATM daily withdrawal limit of $5,000 since he isn’t certain whether Bitcoin users are big-enough gamblers.

But while the D Las Vegas is profiting on its Bitcoin adoption, other major players on the scene don’t seem to be interested in the cryptocurrency. Apart from Golden Gate Casino, which also reportedly accepts Bitcoin for room and meal payments, big companies like MGM Resorts, Wynn Resorts, Caesars, and the Las Vegas Sands Corp. are not showing any initiative towards implementing the cryptocurrency. Yet, while the casinos stay away from it, other businesses increasingly adopt it.

Namely, thanks to demand from shoppers, many shops and entertainment venues are considering taking payments in Bitcoin. It’s already making its way into the Shops at Crystals on the Strip through the Elena Bulatova Gallery, the Legends Room gentleman’s club, as well as other venues on or close to the Las Vegas Strip, with more new businesses looking into it. But until local legislation changes, gamblers would either have to swap their coins while in Las Vegas or instead spend them at Bitcoin online casinos.

Google Hits Emerging Bitcoin Casinos With Ad Bans

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

Google – the world’s number one search engine – is banning cryptocurrency ads from its search results. While changes to the advertising policies of Google are no new thing, the latest restriction strikes a blow at the heart of the emerging cryptocurrency gambling industry as Google is imposing a ban on all cryptocurrency-related products. This means that even Initial Coin Offerings, which many new operators have used to fund the launch of Bitcoin gambling sites, will be banned from advertising with the search engine.

Unregulated Financial Products Beware

As the Guardian reports, Google will be rolling out a new ad ban from June in an effort to clamp down on the spread of financial products that aren’t regulated. The search engine is reportedly hoping to “tackle emerging threats” with a wide crackdown on all financial products deemed “speculative” or unregulated.

According to Scott Spencer, sustainable ads director for Google, the company has updated a number of policies to help curb unregulated financial services and products like Forex trading, CFDs (Contracts for Difference), and Binary Options, but also Bitcoin and cryptocurrency products and ICOs. As explained by the company, the ban will also include cryptocurrency wallets and exchanges as well as gambling ads related to services like skins betting.

Google’s ban mirrors the ban of Facebook – Google’s advertising rival. At the start of the year, Facebook also decided to ban advertisements of cryptocurrency products and ICOs after an inside analysis showed that many of these ads were abused for scamming investors.  It seems that Google had a similar concern prior to updating the policy as Spenser revealed to the news portal. According to him, online scams have evolved alongside the search engine’s protection methods, which is why the company is giving “top priority” to improving the advertising experience with new policy updates.

A Blow To Many Startups

One overlooked side of Google’s new advertising policy is the blow to blockchain startup companies who use ICOs to finance their launch and release products. ICOs have helped raise millions for many up-and-coming companies who could easily source funds from a global pool of investors thanks to blockchain-technology.

In some cases, ICOs proved to be a disastrous affair. Such is the case with the recently defunct Bitconnect which shut doors in January and left many to suffer serious financial losses. Namely, the company was funded by an ICO in which its token was (at times) sold for $290, only to fall down to just above zero after its Ponzi-scheme came to a stop.

However, on the other side of the coin (no pun intended) you also have the legit companies who rise with the help ICOs and expectantly reward their investors afterwards. Such is the case with Betking, which was originally funded by a crowd-funding campaign that successfully ended with all investors receiving money back and was re-launched with another successful ICO.  Even in the land-based casino industry, ICOs are being used to fund cryptocurrency casinos by legit companies which have no resemblance to startups like Bitconnect.

The new advertising ban will certainly create more difficulties for emerging operators as both Facebook and Google are clamping down on Initial Coin Offerings, with Twitter joining them soon. But the move is certainly not an off-course decision for Google, which in 2017 cleared more than 3.2 billion ads to keep its service clean and free of “bad ad experiences”. After all, Alphabet – its parent company – generates around 85% of its revenue from the advertising business.

Party on St. Patrick’s Day with BetChain and Fortune Jack

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

Giving you a chance to get some of that “Luck of the Irish” for this weekend, both casinos have launched new promo offers to celebrate St. Patty’s Day.

17 Spins for That Special 17th

First on the list is BetChain’s new Free Spins promo that will run only on St. Patrick’s Day. As the casino says, St. Patty’s is a day that can be often full of clichés. Everywhere you go you see 4-leaf clovers, people dressed in green drinking green alcohol, and Irish traditional music played through the speakers. To outdo every Irish pub in your vicinity, the casino has added “a twist on every single cliche” with its new Free Spins promo.

The new promotion will start and end on March 17 and will give exactly 17 Free Spins to any depositing player which can be used on the Irish Charms slot machine. And to make things even more interesting, players will be able to claim a batch of 17 Free Spins anytime they make a deposit, no limits applied.

For those of you that haven’t tried Irish Charms, it is a fan-favorite at BetChain Casino that was designed by Pragmatic Play. It is a game that couldn’t be more appropriate for the occasion with its 3-reel layout and symbols of leprechaun hats, 4-leaf clovers, beer pints, horseshoes, and pots of gold. But if you want to check it out yourself before depositing tomorrow, you can always go to BetChain casino to try it out for free.

Fortune Jack Gives Away €3,500 in “Green” Prizes

If you’re looking for even more Irish fun, Fortune Jack Casino is also running a special promotion for the weekend to mark St. Patrick’s Day. With 3 Irish-themed slots tied to the offer and €3,500 in cash prizes for the luckiest players, this promo offer can get you warmed up for St. Patty’s unlike anything else.

The St. Patrick’s Day promotion is a prize draw that began yesterday, March 15th, and will run until Monday, March 19th. To enter the prize draw, you will have to wager €2 in BTC equivalent on either the Lucky Leprechaun or the Lucky Clover and Stacks O’ Gold slot games. With each wager that meets this requirement, you will get 1 point for the draw. The top 100 players with the highest number of points will then be selected for the prize raffle that will hand out 31 rewards.

The luckiest player of them all gets to claim €500 in BTC while the remaining 30 players will all get €100 from the casino. All winners will be announced on Tuesday, March 20th, while the leaderboard will be updated every hour. If you want to see whether you too have that Irish luck, just go to Fortune Jack and start playing!

South Korea Land-Based Casino to Start Cryptocurrency Gambling

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

Cryptocurrency gambling is no longer an exclusive of Bitcoin online casinos. The world of land-based gambling is likewise changing and warming up to the idea of exploiting the benefits of cryptocurrencies and one South Korean casino is about to prove this very soon.

Revealing plans to launch cryptocurrency VIP games in its land-based 7 Luck Casino resorts, South Korean operators GKL (Grand Korea Leisure) are making bold moves to bring what could become the future of land-based gambling, especially in Asia where high-rollers face tougher government restrictions.

First VIP Crypto-Rooms to Open in April

As reported by Forbes, GKL has partnered up with Honk Kong-based fintech company Dragon Inc. to introduce cryptocurrency gambling into its VIP rooms. The name Dragon Inc. might sound familiar as it is a name casino portals have reported on before when the company launched an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) for $500 million. The ICO, which we wrote about in November, was launched to raise funds for a floating cryptocurrency casino in Macau. And now, the company is to help GKL achieve the same thing with the help of its own Dragon Coin tokens.

As reported, the strategic partnership will see Dragon Inc. implement its own Dragon Blockchain platform in the VIP rooms of 3 casinos from the 7 Luck brand. The playing will be funded by the Dragon Coin – an ERC20-based token that is issued by Dragon Inc. The first of the rooms to implement the technology is planned to launch as soon as April this year.

It’s also interesting to note that, during the past months, the local government in South Korea hasn’t been openly acceptant of cryptocurrencies, especially ICOs. Last September, Initial Coin Offerings were banned in the country, just before Dragon Inc. launched its campaign. However, since the government didn’t really enforce the ban, most locals were able to continue investing in foreign ICOs like the Dragon Coin. Reportedly, there is now a new policy in the making that would allow such crowd-funding campaigns back into South Korea, according to Fortune magazine.

Making VIP Gambling Easier

The introduction of Dragon Coin is to significantly shake up the world of high-stakes gambling in Asia. Most high-rollers in places like Macau come from Mainland China where restrictions on cash outflow don’t allow them to take out large amounts of money out of the country. This problem is remedied by the use of so-called “junket operators” who make high-roller gambling possible and charge 5-7% to prospective gamblers for the service while the operators themselves also face a cost of around 5%.

As explained by Dragon Inc., with the use of its Dragon Coin and Dragon Global Chips (chips you can buy with the token) the total cost will be minimized to approximately 0.5% on each side, or 1% in total.   The way the process works is that players buy the tokens at home with local currency and then use them to buy the Dragon Global Chips with their mobile wallet when they arrive at a foreign casino. After playing, the chips are exchanged back for tokens which can be sold upon returning home for local currency. The same system is to be used in Dragon’s upcoming floating Dragon Pearl Casino and reportedly there are also talks to introduce Dragon Coins into online casinos as well.

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

Expanding their portfolios even further, both casinos have just launched new slots on their platforms that are available to any regular and newly registered users. Fortune Jack adds Quickspin Slots; Offers Exclusive Bonus

Adding more top slots to its large collection, Fortune Jack Casino has recently introduced Quickspin games to its online platform. The studio’s slot games can be found in a number of leading operators online, including some of the best Bitcoin casinos.

Thus far, Quickspin has released about 30+ slot games and all of them have been added to Fortune Jack Casino. The studio plans to release about a dozen new ones in 2018 and has already begun doing so with the launch of their latest products – the Northern Sky and the Pied Pipers slots.

If there are any words to describe Quickspin’s games, it would be “flawlessly designed”. If you haven’t had the pleasure to try Northern Sky, you have missed out on the aesthetical splendor of Quickspin’s slots, which can be said to be equal to the work of NetEnt, Thunderkick, Microgaming, and other creative game designers.

And if new slots are not enough, Fortune Jack Casino has also released a new bonus offer that can only be found on the casino’s Facebook page. There is a total of 300 mBTC (100% match) to grab via the special deposit bonus + 100 Free Spin for the casino’s slot games. The only thing you have to do enjoy this offer is to use the code “FBJACK” and deposit a minimum of 0.02 BTC. If you’re up for it, just give Fortune Jack Casino a visit.

Bitcasino Adds Striking Playboy Gold Slot

If you’re really looking for a brand new class of slot games, you might want to check out Bitcasino. Namely, the site has added a new Microgaming online slot yesterday called the Playboy Gold, which brings a radically different game concept to Bitcoin casinos.

A sequel to the original Playboy slot, the Playboy Gold kicks things up a few notches by offering you a 6-reel layout with even 10 rows of symbols and 100 different paylines. With so many symbols to look after, you can easily get lost during your spins, especially when you have 2 playmates changing poses and smiling at you from each side of the reels.

Apart from some “interesting” graphics, this slot also has a plethora of bonus features to make your sessions more exciting. Containing 4×6 Jumbo blocks that award multipliers, cash prizes, and re-spins, as well as Wilds, bonus cash games, and free spins, the Playboy Gold is one resourceful slot game. And with coin sizes that can go as low as $0.01, you’ll have no excuse not to head down to Bitcasino and give it a try.

Bitcoin Site Satoshi Dice Throws Support Behind Bitcoin Cash

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

Bitcoin’s offshoot cryptocurrency – Bitcoin Cash – has been recently getting more and more support in the online gambling community from a number of well-known operators. One of the latest gambling sites to throw extra support behind the rising cryptocurrency is Satoshi Dice –the oldest of Bitcoin Dice sites online that’s been active since 2012.  Apart from officially adopting Bitcoin Cash into its platform, the site has now taken things further and donated a large chunk of Bitcoin Cash to a non-profit that aims to increase its usage.

100 BCH Donated to the Bitcoin Cash Fund

Satoshi Dice’s latest donation came over the weekend and it was inspired by a Reddit post by the user “jarenfeser” who wanted to help the non-profit Bitcoin Cash Fund with a 48-hour donation challenge.  Kicking off the challenge was a message by the user who said that he will “match all donations made to the Bitcoin Cash Fund (up to 300 BCH)” during the following 48 hours.

After the post went live, it didn’t take long for Satoshi Dice to spot the offer in the BTC subreddit and donate a chunk of 100 Bitcoin Cash coins to the non-profit organization. The Bitcoin Cash Fund gladly accepted the donation and replied to Satoshi Dice by saying that “It really means a lot to us to have your support. We really really appreciate it. We will make sure this funding goes a long way to drive adoption.”

If you’re not familiar with the Bitcoin Cash Fund, it labels itself as a “community-driven” project that aims to promote the adoption of Bitcoin Cash through “various internal and community-driven marketing and sales initiatives”. The fund originally began as a venture that wanted to gather funds for an animated short video about the cryptocurrency and the publishing of pamphlets that raise awareness of it. But recently the organization’s objective has reached new heights and the fund’s original mission goal was changed to “to help Bitcoin Cash (BCH) serve one billion users within five years.”

The Reddit Challenge ended up being quite fruitful for the non-profit as a total of $250,000 in Bitcoin Cash donations were made within only 8 hours after the post went live. Satoshi Dice made the most notable donation during the challenge.

A Pioneering Bitcoin Site that Turned to BCH

Satoshi Dice was the brainchild of Erik Voorhees – a startup founder known for his involvement in the cryptocurrency sector. Voorhees is the CEO of the Shapeshift exchange and a former CEO of Coinapult – a service for sending Bitcoin via e-mail and SMS – who owned Satoshi Dice partially before the site was sold to an undisclosed buyer in 2013 for the sum of 126,315 BTC.

Originally a Bitcoin-only site, Satoshi Dice later switched to taking only Bitcoin Cash, saying that the offshoot cryptocurrency was “true to the original spirit of Satoshi vision”. Satoshi Dice was a strong driving force in Bitcoin adoption as it quickly became the leading Bitcoin gambling site online, causing high levels of Bitcoin transactions and accounting for $15 million in bets in less than a year after its launch. And although its traffic has decreased throughout the years as many new operators launched, the site’s support for Bitcoin Cash could still significantly contribute to the adoption of the new cryptocurrency.

If you’re interested in learning more about Satoshi Dice’s games, its provably fair system, or anything else about the site you might be interested in, make sure to check out our Satoshi Dice review.
